This is a plot you can get to by drilling down on locations in
the southern parts of South America, in the following
map.

Notice that some of the colored dots towards the bottom of that
map are empty (no color) - this is how I handle "missing data".
If you click on the dot, you'll still get the time-series plot
for that long/lat location ... the "missing" values will show
as a break in the time-series plot.

I feel it is better to put a "break" in the time series line
(using the 'skipmiss' gplot option) rather than connecting the
dots to the left and right of the missing value with a line
(connecting across the missing values could produce misleading
graphics!)
